Alexandrite is a relatively recent addition to the gem world, as it was first discovered in 1831. However, it immediately because famous for the dramatic color change it shows depending on the light. In daylight, it shows a lovely blue-green - but under artificial light it looks red!
While these two-tone glass drops do not have such a dramatic change, their lovely blue and green display a fascinating change as well. Look from one angle and you will see the two vividly distinct colors. From another, a blending of the two, reminiscent of the changing colors of the sea.
