Although I live in California now, I lived in Minneapolis for 5 years.
I'm a one-person small business. As you can probably guess, small businesses are always struggling to find more customers, get more followers, email subscribers, be seen and appreciated (and paid!) by more people.
However, just to be totally clear - if you think that ICE is doing the right thing by shooting legal observers and peaceful protestors, then I don't want your money.
If you think America would be better with a dictator, I don't want your support.
If you think America is a scary place because some people who now live here originally came from other places, I don't want you to share my work with your similarly small-minded, scared friends.
If that's what you think, feel free to un-follow me on social media, unsubscribe from my newsletter, and instead give your money to the billionaires who are greedily doing their best to establish total control over this country.
Today is my daughter's birthday - she was born in Minneapolis. She's growing up in a country where suddenly any one of us - citizen, non-citizen, black, brown, white - could be kidnapped or even shot with (apparently) no consequences. That's not the country I grew up in - and it's definitely not one I want her to continue living in.
Let's change it. Abolish ICE. Due process. No Kings.
