Have fun being a tourist in your own backyard (er, city) this weekend!
by Tawny Reynolds on Aug 24, 2016
I sometimes feel it’s a shame we don’t do more to get out and see the sights in our own backyard (er, city). What’s the biggest tourist spot near you? Have you ever been there, or do you think of it as “too touristy”? But I bet if you hopped an airplane or took a long road trip to a new place you’d make sure to go see the biggest tourist attraction, right? Who would miss seeing the Eiffel Tower on a visit to Paris?
So, this weekend, I challenge you to have fun being a tourist in your own place. And if, like me, your place is the Bay Area… come down to Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco. Not only will there be some of the best chocolate around, 60 local artisans are taking over the square all weekend - including me! I’ll have my newest styles, the Bohemian Collection, along with all your old favorites. There might even be a few glimpses at new designs that will debut in my shop later this year, just in time for the holidays!
SF Etsy's Indie Summer Emporium

Public transit: Take the BART to downtown San Francisco, then catch the #30 bus, the F Market antique streetcar along Embarcadero (7 min walk at the end), or get the full San Francisco experience with a cable car ride (Powell-Hyde line)!
See you this weekend!
